About The Role:

As Photogrammetric Technician, you will process data from airborne camera systems to create refined imagery-derived products for a diverse range of projects.  You will be introduced to a broad array of airborne mapping fundamentals and procedures under the guidance of senior team members.  

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Maps planimetric features and Digital Terrain Models (break lines and mass points) from digital aerial photographs to create design-level files used for topographic and utility mapping projects using a DAT/EM Summit Evolution digital stereo plotter.
  • Operates a digital stereo workstation to acquire digital terrain data and map features using stereophotogrammetry.
  • Build proficiency with imagery processing software such as Capture One and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Reviews and edits mapping files for use by surveyors and engineers.
  • Updates spreadsheets and indexes for job tracking.
  • Trains new and junior team members.
  • Keeps abreast of technological changes in photogrammetry and related computer software and hardware.
  • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.

What You Bring:

  • An associate’s degree in a geospatial field is desired, with a concentration in a surveying, geomatics, or GIS-related field (preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience with emphasis on image data processing (preferred)
  • Experience with DAT/EM Summit Evolution or other stereo compilation software
  • Experience with CAD software (Microstation or AutoCAD)
  • Familiarity with map editing, quality control, data formatting, metadata, and coordinate systems
  • Able to communicate and interact effectively and successfully with supervisors, technicians, and other staff
  • Other Desirable Experience Sought but not required:
  • Familiarity with LiDAR data and/or editing
  • Aero triangulation software and processing
  • Digital ortho imagery processing
  • Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, and background check
