About The Role:

As a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Pickett’s workforce, driving excellence in recruitment practices, and contributing to the company's growth trajectory.


This position will take a leadership role in sourcing and identifying high-caliber candidates to fulfill our current openings and future strategic staffing needs. Your expertise will be pivotal in attracting top-tier talent to Pickett, while nurturing relationships with current and potential candidates.


You will collaborate closely with hiring managers and ensure adherence to HR processes, procedures, and regulatory compliance, while driving efficiency and alignment with Pickett’s policies.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Help lead the screening and tracking of applicants for existing and upcoming job opportunities, leveraging your extensive experience to identify the most suitable candidates
  • Establish and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified candidates, utilizing advanced sourcing techniques and networking strategies
  • Strategically utilize social media platforms and sourcing tools to enhance Pickett’s employer brand and attract top talent
  • Oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle, guiding candidates through sourcing, screening, interviews, offer negotiation, onboarding, and new employee orientation
  • Develop and refine candidate correspondence, ensuring a positive candidate experience from initial contact through to onboarding
  • Conduct pre-employment assessments, background checks, and drug screenings with precision and compliance
  • Provide both administrative and strategic support to elevate the effectiveness of the Talent Acquisition Department
  • Demonstrate autonomy in managing requisition loads, prioritizing tasks effectively, and driving results independently
  • Offer expert guidance to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, offering insights and recommendations based on comprehensive candidate evaluations
  • Ensure meticulous documentation of interview processes and candidate information within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), facilitating data-driven decision-making and compliance

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resource Management, Communication, or related field, or equivalent experience, coupled with a demonstrable track record of success in recruiting or human resources (required)
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in full life-cycle recruiting, with a focus on sourcing and securing top-tier talent, preferably within the engineering, utility, or construction sectors

  • Proven expertise in consulting with stakeholders on compensation, market trends, behavioral interviewing techniques, and recruitment process optimization
  • Advanced research skills, adept at leveraging online resources to identify target companies and passive candidates
  • Proficiency in leveraging social media platforms and job boards to amplify recruitment efforts
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen ability to articulate complex concepts and build rapport with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong relationship-building skills, fostering collaborative partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and database management

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, to facilitate effective communication and documentation (required)
  • Exceptional time-management abilities, thriving in fast-paced environments while consistently delivering high-quality results
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record, with flexibility for occasional travel as required
